Quick Start¶
1. Install the apps¶
Install Lyreline Studio. For the complete capture-and-authoring workflow, also install Lyreline.
2. Create or open a Studio project¶
Open Lyreline Studio and create a project, or select an existing project from Project Home. A Studio project keeps narration, publication settings, generated assets, and review status together.
3. Capture and author in Lyreline¶
Choose Capture & Author to continue the current Studio project in Lyreline. Capture screenshots, organize the procedure, add annotations, and write the instructional content there.
4. Return to Lyreline Studio¶
Use Lyreline's Narrate & Publish action to return the authored content to the matching Studio project.
When Studio reports a source update, review it before publishing again. If the change affects narration, choose Review Narration Update… to compare the old and new Lyreline source with the current Studio narration. You can edit or blend the proposed wording before choosing Apply Narration Update.
Applying revised narration does not regenerate audio or mark the source reviewed. Use Mark Reviewed only after you are satisfied with the section, and regenerate narration separately when Studio shows Needs Regeneration.
5. Prepare narration¶
Open Narrate & Publish, review the narration draft, choose imported audio, Apple Speech, or OpenAI narration, and generate or attach narration as needed. See Narration for provider details.
6. Refine the section¶
Open the Section Editor to select and reorder visuals, refine visual timing, attach narration cues, add pauses, continue numbered callouts across visuals, and adjust highlight appearance. To add another visual from the Source Video, pause on the moment you want and choose Add Current Frame to Section. Use Section Preview to review how narration, visuals, and annotations work together. See Section Editor.
7. Publish¶
Use the publication area to preview and publish HTML, PDF, or video. Save each output to a location you control. See Publishing.
8. Optionally return the authored procedure to Lyreline¶
When you want to continue the procedure in Lyreline, export or hand off the Studio-authored project and open it there. Studio-authored sections return as editable Procedure steps, with supported images, presentation edits, numbered callouts, optional labels, and instruction links preserved.
Returning to Lyreline is optional. Studio remains useful for project management, narration, review, and publication even when no return handoff is needed. See Using Lyreline Studio with Lyreline for the complete round-trip workflow.
